What's My Online Course Business?

My course business is super simple – so if you’ve never created or marketed an online course before – this should help you get an idea of what you can expect to set up going forward.

Having grown my Instagram audiences to over 120,000 followers across my various businesses, my course offerings focus on teaching entrepreneurs and business owners how to grow their following & profits on Instagram.

My courses are all hosted on Kajabi – Kajabi makes it super easy to not only upload and create your course but to create amazing landing pages and sales pages you need in order to sell your courses.

I spent about one month creating my main program Instagram Launchpad, but you DON’T have to start out with a huge comprehensive signature course.

If you want to get your course business up and running much quicker, you can do smaller 1-2 hour masterclasses like my Hashtag Masterclass or the 1K in 30 Days Instagram Challenge

These programs are both about an hour in length, but they help my audience achieve a very specific result that they are hungry for.

This is KEY. Your course, however long it is, MUST help your audience overcome a major pain or struggle and achieve a win or goal.

In the case of a short masterclass type course, this will help them with a very specific pain or problem.

Your signature course will help with a much broader and much bigger problem.

You can always start with a masterclass course and add to your offering with a signature course later on.

How I Get Traffic to Grow My Email List and Sell My Courses

I get traffic mainly through Pinterest, Google SEO, and Instagram through content marketing.

I create content relevant to my ideal customers and clients, post it on my blog (written & video) and share them on various platforms.

There are two main ways my ideal client can get into my course:

1.) Live Course Launches

First, I have live launches 3-4 times per year where I promote my course to my entire email list. 

I usually do an email only launch with about 5-7 emails and cart open for 4 days.

These launches add a nice boost to my revenue.

2.) Evergreen Course Launches

But the second way is through a limited time offer after someone signs up for my free course Jumpstart Your Instagram.

This is my main lead magnet, a 5-day email course that teaches my subscribers how to start attracting their ideal clients and customers on Instagram.

Your lead magnet, whatever it is – it can be a free course, a PDF, a video series, ebook, or something else – MUST be closely related to your course topic.

Your lead magnet should address at least one pain point or problem that your audience is having, and help them get a quick win.

This provides value, establishes your authority as someone who can help them, and primes members of your audience to buy when you make your offer.

Pitching Your Course to Your Email List

After they finish the 5-day course, my subscribers get transitioned into a 4-day sales sequence where they have the opportunity to enroll in my signature program Instagram Launchpad – but only for a limited time.

You can combine this method with special bonuses or discounts to really amp up the scarcity.

I offer a few exclusive bonuses in the form of extra masterclasses to encourage my subscribers to buy NOW and not later.

Creating a Killer Course Sales Page

During launch periods and during the limited time enrollment period for new subscribers, interested potential customers follow the link to the Instagram Launchpad Sales Page.

Now this is a LONG FORM sales page that talks about where my ideal students are at, what they’re struggling with, what their hopes and goals are…

It takes all of those things and shows how my course will help them overcome their biggest pains and problems to reach those goals they’ve been wanting to reach so badly.

At the end, they can hit the Enroll Now button, which takes them to the payment page where they can enter in their payment info to start the course immediately.

Once someone enrolls they create their login credentials and can immediately dive into the course content inside the Kajabi course portal.

Kajabi really allows you to set up your course in a beautiful and professional manner. It’s got a ton of clean designs to choose from and you can really make it your own with your own branding and designs aesthetic.

You can add video lessons, text, PDF and other downloads, and quizzes for your students to complete – they can even track their progress by marking each lesson as complete.
